June MaffinAuthor of Disturbed by God: A Journey of Spiritual Discovery, June Mack Maffin was raised in Montreal and has had a variety of careers: radio and television personality, author, information officer, educator, wife, mother, group facilitator, counsellor, Creative Spirituality Artist, spiritual director, parish priest and chaplain. After receiving her Master of Divinity in 1985, she was ordained and received her Doctorate in Pastoral Care with an emphasis on Ethics in 1992.

Dr. Maffin has extensive experience in education, communications, media relations, and business (in the worlds of politics, art and non-profit societies). She has served the church in rural, suburban, and urban parishes and served as Provincial Prolocutor for three years and on the Executive Councils at diocesan, provincial and national levels of the Anglican Church of Canada. Travels to Sri Lanka, the UK, the Philippines and Uganda were part of her volunteer ministry as a consultant in the areas of Total (Baptismal) Ministry, women’s ordination and societal action in developing countries.

Creative Spirituality Artist, Retreat Director, Certified Facilitator, Conference Speaker (in the areas of spirituality, circular leadership, total ministry, women’s leadership and faithful ethical decision-making) and Spiritual Director with a strong focus of encouraging people in their spirituality regardless of church/denominational affiliation, June presently lives in Shawnigan on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada and these days can be seen in her studio where she creates MirrorMeditations and SoulistryCards.
